Are we meant to be nothing more in life than well-oiled machines? All of the stress, the hard work, the over-studying, the interviews, the dating, the endless effort. A well-oiled, and suitably programmed machine excels at any of these tasks.
Question: What does society want from us?
Answer: It wants us to be well oiled machines.
Ah, but you say you are not a machine. I beg to differ. It is quite enlightening to discover how much like a machine you actually are. We are always on the quest for the fastest phone connection, the most fat-burning workouts, the cheapest movies rental deals, the “-est” of everything. Efficiency is essential for our perfection. And what is more efficient than a machine functioning at its highest capacity?
There is, however, something quite dark about our hunger for the best, for exquisite perfection, for immortality. What is the final outcome once we satisfy these hungers? We become hungrier, greedier, more merciless. It is this evil that swallows each of us in its void. And the sad thing is:
It is an illusion.
Just as we are born, our bodies always fail, and we die. Humanity is trapped in this endless cycle. Why must we work at all? What is there ever to gain?
The Dalai Lama was asked what surprised him the most;
he said, “Man, because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health.
And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present;
the result being that he does not live in the present or the future;
he lives as if he is never going to die, and then he dies having never really lived.”
The point I am trying to make is this:
Revolution is the only act of actual intelligence. Revolution is not an outcome. Revolution is a state, a mind state, a spiritual state. Revolution draws no conclusions. Revolution does not mean progress. It only means change. It means moving forwards and backwards at once and realizing that there is no direction in the first place. It means war, it means love, it means everything all at once.
The system was never perfect nor will it ever be perfect. Perfection is an illusion. We fight for the rights of others while mindlessly losing our own right to ourselves. We follow the path of those who came before us, because it is simple, the path of least resistance, yet we do not see all that has decayed on the path.
There is no path. It is all mind.
The wonders around you are infinite and you are at your fullest potential NOW! The future does not exist. The past does not exist. The present does not exist. They are all mind. Clean away the garbage of spoon fed mediocrity.
REVOLT and be human. Learn and be human. Die and be human. Get born and be human.
